I have updated my poems page with 262 words for the challenge I set before. I thought I’d tell you why I picked the two tracks.
‘Vienna’ by The Fray is a short song, slow and steady, to be honest I don’t know what it is about, but I think it is about dying, hence the idea of someone in a hospital. I used a few of the verses to base it on.
To be honest I don’t know why I am in such a ‘Doom and Gloom’ mind but I guess its that time of year, the cold weather seems to put in the mood.
‘Where Do I Go From Here?’ by Bryan Adams is a much loved song, I listened to it when I fell out with a really close friend, I felt lost and confused then, so I was comforted by the lyrics, they made me realise life had to go on even though someone was gone.
I had to carry on, like a family dose when they’ve lost a family member, hence the line ‘the family only remember the good times’ I try to incorporate a little bit of light into the dark but sometimes it is hard, finding the right place for it.
See what you think about it and I’d like to hear your own and en explanation on the track or tracks you used.
Thank you,
J.A.M
Jodie, I tried to comment on your poems page but my Blogger hates me. So, just to let you know I love the second to last and wondered where your inspiration for it came from? I've got a few new ones too, www.erhinspired.blogspot.com- and I'm looking for ideas as to which ones I should put in a poetry book. What do you think? Hope you had a good Christmas and have a great New Year. ERH
